What is an Endowment? An endowment is a fund given by its community supporters and is the lifeblood of any non-profit institution. It is a permanent fund whose income (interest and earnings only) is used to maintain the institution. The money in the endowment itself is never spent; making it a gift that keeps giving. A gift to our endowment provides a permanent source of income, a legacy, a revenue stream that will allow the Cameron Art Museum to keep its doors open for future generations. Endowment Nears $6.4 Million in Challenge Phase - 1/3 of $20 Million GoalCameron Art Museum’s endowment campaign, “Securing Our Future” began in late 2005. Thanks to over 300 generous donors, Phase One raised nearly $6.4 million in only 18 months. The Bruce B. Cameron Foundation generously matched all funds dollar for dollar pledged or donated in that period. The campaign continues through 2008. The museum is committed to reaching its endowment goal of $20 million. Please join this community effort to ensure the museum's future for generations to come.
